The UK & Ireland online poker rankings, provided by PocketFives.com, are up-to-date and it is still Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who is far out in front in the United Kingdom, but Ireland has a brand new entry and they’ve gone straight into the number one spot.
Beresford is still 2,200 points ahead of Patrick “pleno1” Leonard in the UK’s rankings. Beresford seems to be putting in plenty of volume while running hot, which is a deadly combination.
Last week, Beresford finished second in a $5,200 6-Max PKO High Rollers event at PokerStars for more than $70,000. He also won the $1,050 Wednesday High Roller for an additional $21,053. This pair of results comes only a week after Beresford padded his bankroll with scores of $239,652 and $378,205.
Leonard is doing everything in his power to reel in Beresford. The partypoker ambassador won sums of $14,247, $14,082 and $23,716 last week. Sandwiched between those impressive scores was a $180,982 prize, his reward for second-place in a $10,300 NLHE 8-Max event at PokerStars.
Tyler “Wonderboy222” Goatcher is another man in scintillating form. Goatcher has already a trio of partypoker POWERFEST events at partypoker but his latest big scores came at PokerStars. The Brighton-based grinder collected $15,122 for hs runner-up exit from the $530 Daily Supersonic before winning the $1,050 Daily Warm-Up for $25,864, also at PokerStars.
“B4NKR0LL3R” helped themselves to the $28,636 third-place prize of a $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up to hold onto fifth-place in the rankings.
A massive $107,480 went to Sam “SamSquid” Grafton after he finished third in a $5,200 NLHE 8-max High Roller in the PokerStars Turbo Series. This pushed Grafton to eighth in the UK and 62nd in the world, not a massive distance away from the 40th in the world rank he enjoyed in 2013.
The $1,050 buy-in High Roller tournaments at PokerStars are proving happy hunting grounds for British players. Not only did some of the aforementioned players finish in the top three places, Ben “jenbizzle” Jones took one down for $28,776.
UK-based Italian Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit also triumphed in two of these tournaments. The first won Kanit $49,610 with the other’s top prize weighing in at $23,897.
Lastly, a couple of shoutouts for Henri “Buehlero” Buehler and Jareth “jareath3542” East who have been tearing things up at GGPoker.
Buehler finished first, second, and third in a trio of Zodiac Main Events and High Rollers for the equivalent of $33,462, $13,724, and $10,065. East finished second in a GGSeries event for $16,916 and fourth in another for an additional $9,421.

fastfingers Climbs To Top Spot
Ireland has a new number one with top spot now occupied by “fastfingers”. Known as “janiszeib” at PokerStars, fastfingers has more than $680,000 in winnings, with a biggest-ever cash of $46,000. That prize came as a result of a third-place finish in the 888pokerXL Blizzard Main Event in February 2020.
More recently, fastfingers reeled in a $7,365 score for finishing third in a Winamax W Series Event.

Ronan “Sw33ney” Sweeney dropped to second-place in the Emerald Isle and now trails the leader by approximately 140 points. Sweeney kept tabs on fastfingers with a third-place finish in a PokerStars $109 Sunday Starter worth $2,343.
Sven “SvenCalls” McDermott looks to be returning to form judging by his latest run of deep finishes. He won a $27 NLHE PKO at PokerStars for more than $1,500, came fifth in the Big $215 for $1,823 and banked more than $2,000 for a fourth-place finish in a $162 Bounty Builder tournament.
McDermott also finished second in the Winamax GO FAST for $3,333. Throw into the mix a $1,265 prize at GGPoker and another $4,000 at PokerStars and you can see why McDermott has a reputation for being an excellent tournament grinder.
Former Irish number one Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville padded his bankroll with $27,606 when he finished third in the PokerStars $530 NLHE 8-Max Turbo Series event. He also won a $109 NLHE Deep Stacks Turbo Series event for $23,010 but that result came too late to make it onto the latest rankings update.
We also have to mention Conor “ccoonnoorr” O’Driscoll’s deep run in the $2.5 million guaranteed Sunday Million worth $3,444 and his runner-up finish in the PokerStars Bigger $22 that came in at $7,787.
Also to Kamal “AceOfShamrocks” Singh who was the Big $55 runner-up for $3,687.
